I Am 30 & Have Breast Cancer. I Was Out of Work for 4 Surgeries & Will Lose My Home Now!
My Story:
I'm a 30-year-old woman and server at two restaurants. I have been serving people for over 6 years and love connecting with my regular customers.
In September, I learned that I have breast cancer. I had to have a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery done, and this put me out of work for about two months. I had to get my hysterectomy after some complications, so now any plans I had to raise my own children are ruined. I had finally recovered when I found out I needed another surgery because of internal bleeding where the mastectomy was done. This situation has affected every part of my life. I cannot work as much anymore, and when I am healthy enough to work, I can't manage longer than a few months before something else comes up with my health. Such strain on my body and the realization that I cannot have a family of my own has made me so depressed that I had to find a therapist. I am trying to get my bills paid for the month, but the loss of work has made it impossible to pay everything.
I'm humbly asking for help with my rent. This generous gift will mean that I can stay in my apartment and keep my car while in my battle with cancer. This would give me the hope I need to see this battle through to the very end. Thank you for everything.
