My Son's Twin Sister Died, & He is Devastated. His Therapy is Keeping Us From Paying the Mortgage!

My Story:

I am a married mother of two boys and one daughter, but my daughter is now deceased. I also have two stepsons. My son was almost 2 when his twin sister died, and although there were early signs of autism before that incident, I believe this traumatic event solidified his autism diagnosis. My daughter was born with a rare brain condition called hemimegaloencephaly; it causes uncontrollably seizures. She would have hundreds of seizures a day. She had successful rain surgery which reduced them significantly to 15 a day, but eventually, one seizure was too much on her. On the day she passed, my son could not leave her side; it is almost like he knew it was time. It has been extremely hard for our family.

We want to ensure Nicholas gets all the support that he needs, which looks like one-to-one support in ABA therapy. We recently paid over a thousand for his copays alone, and this has severely affected our ability to pay our regular bills. My son cannot verbalize more than single words, has many repetitive sounds, and cannot make eye contact for very long. Sometimes he bursts out crying unprovoked or just looks off into space like he is somewhere else entirely. Even though he can't tell us, we can see and feel his pain. We want to ensure our boy is happy and healthy no matter what, but we are getting nervous about foreclosure.

We are humbly requesting your help to cover our mortgage. Your help will ensure we do not lose our home after getting our son started with his therapy. We will be able to catch up on other household bills and be able to cover his medical bills going forward since they will be much smaller amounts. We see progress in him already and just want to encourage him further. Your help will keep our family strong, and we could not be more grateful.
