It is Just Me & My Dog. I Was Forced to Repair My Car to Work. Now We'll Be Forced Into a Shelter!

My Story:

I am a 24-year-old working adult with a dog. He is a king cavalier and so loving. I work full-time but am picking up a second job. Unfortunately, it does not start until July; my job as a hairstylist really does not pay well, so sadly, things are harder than usual.

My car engine and transmission ended up failing, and that put a financial burden on top of an already strained situation. I've had to take the bus or an Uber to all my interviews and shifts. I qualified for SNAP benefits, but it's taking a long time for them to kick in. I'm stuck paying for every expense out of pocket, as the car insurance company gave me nothing to repair my car. I had to fix it, and then I fell behind on my rent. I'm barely able to take care of my dog and I each day. I have nowhere to go, and eviction proceedings will begin soon. I even picked up a small job at a fast-food place in walking distance nearby. I am doing everything I can, but without this assistance, I will lose my home just for continuing to eat.

I am asking for help with my rent, so my puppy and I can make it through this hardship. I will be able to start my new job without worrying about getting there on time, and I won't have to spend every night scared in a shelter somewhere. Thank you so much for considering my situation.
