I Did Everything I Could to Save Our Dog's Life but She Passed. Now, We'll Be Homeless!

My Story:

I am a single mother of three and work full-time for the department of defense. My oldest daughter is 26 and has already given me two beautiful grandbabies. My son is 21, and my youngest daughter is 12.

It has been a rough year for our family. Our 10-year-old dog was diagnosed with breast cancer, and we made the very difficult decision to commit to saving her. The tumor removal surgery she needed cost a fortune, but we thought that would be the end of it. After surgery, she needed more emergency care and became very ill. This led to her diabetes diagnosis. I fell behind on our household bills while beginning to pay for her diabetes medication, and tragically, she passed away before the medication could help. My kids and I are still devastated, and to make it all worse, we are standing on very unstable ground financially. I put everything toward saving her life, and at the end of the day, it wasn't enough. Right now, I am focused on getting back on track with our mortgage, so my kids and I do not lose our home too. I know that would just make everything worse for us. I have been making payments to get caught up, but we'll face foreclosure before I can be current again.

I am asking for help with one month of our mortgage, so my kids do not worry about homelessness after their childhood dog's death. I will be freed up to pay other bills in the meantime, so we can be in a better situation. This will truly transform our financial situation and give us hope for the first time in a while. This will keep us from being homeless, and for that, I could never thank you enough.
