I Divorced My Kids' Abusive Dad, but I Lost Work for 2 Surgeries & Can't Pay Our Phone Bill!
My Story:
I am a single mom of an 18-year-old girl, 16-year-old boy, and 9-year-old girl. I just finished going through a divorce that was very bad; my ex-husband was very abusive to the kids and I, and he was almost always drunk. We were married for 10 years, and now he barely gets visitation with the kids. He pays no child support, so I am completely on my own now.
I found out in February that I had uterus fibroids and Endometriosis, and it lead to needing a hysterectomy. While in surgery, they discovered I had gallstones in my gallbladder, so I had to plan another surgery upon waking up from anesthesia. This was taxing on my body and kept me out of work even longer than I expected.
I am asking for help with our phone bill, so we can keep our internet and phone service on. I am a driver, so I would not be able to work if my phone and GPS were shut off. This act of kindness would mean so much to my kids and I; we are recovering emotionally from many years of abuse from their dad, and this help would ensure I do not spiral into an even worse financial situation right after finalizing my divorce. With your generous assistance, we can continue to build back up and finally be a happy family again. Thank you so much for anything you can give.
