I'm a Single Mom & After I Paid for My Brother's Funeral, I Could Not Pay My Medical Bill!
My Story:
I am a single mom of a 13-year-old boy who is very smart and loves music. I am the director of our local Boys & Girls Club and work part-time at our local library. My son is excited for a summer full of camp and going to the creek with his friends.
I make enough money to pay my bills, but a few months ago, I started having severe stomach pain. I have had to have ultrasounds and tests to figure out what was wrong, and it ended up being a severe case of diverticulitis. This was shortly after my brother passed away, so I was unable to pay off every one of my medical bills since I had just put my entire savings toward a proper funeral for my brother. I cut out our Netflix subscription and other non-vital expenses to try to help, but I could not pay the hospital bills fast enough. Now, I have a wage garnishment, and they take 26% of my check every pay period.
I am asking for help to pay off these medical bills, so I do not fall behind on other essential bills due to this garnishment. Your generosity will ensure my son and I can remain on track for the foreseeable future. We will be able to heal from my hospital stay and death of my brother.
