My Daughter With Autism & I Are Staying With Family While I Get a Divorce. We're Facing Shut Off!
My Story:
I'm the mom of a little girl with autism, and currently, I'm going through a divorce. My daughter loves running, music, and caring for animals. I'm living with family while I go through the divorce, and their support has lifted my daughter and I up during this difficult time.
We are always able to take care of our needs, however, my mother needed emergency dental surgery recently, and that put her out of work for a little bit. She is the only one working right now, as I do not have enough time to work between the divorce hearings and getting my daughter to all her therapy appointments. My grandmother barely receives any retirement income, so my mom's pay is crucial. After she lost time at work, we are struggling to keep everything paid this month.
We are asking for help with our utility bill, so we can keep our lights on. I know living in a home without power would be horrible for my daughter and delay all the progress she has been making. Your one-time help would be a true gift that will permit us to cook, clean, and charge our devices. We will be able to get back on track with our payments next month and avoid falling into the cycle of always being one month behind. Thank you so much for your generosity and empathy for my family.
