I'm a Recent Widower & After Paying Thousands for My Medication, I Can't Keep the Heat On!
My Story:
I am a 79-year-old widowed man. My lovely wife of 58 years passed away in 2019 from Alzheimer's disease. Even though it is lonely without her, our daughters visit often and keep me company. I like listening to country music, and I still go out once a week with my guy friends. I love the outdoors and was an active farmer in my younger days.
I have multiple medical conditions which require a lot of medication, but I do not qualify for Medicare. This leaves me paying a few thousand a year for them; I do not qualify for any elderly assistance either. Between my medications, mortgage, and huge property taxes that are due this year, I cannot afford fuel to heat my home. I was able to get assistance from a local organization to pay most of it, but I still cannot cover the rest.
I am asking for help paying off the remainder of my fuel bill. This assistance will allow me to pay for the food I need on my diabetic diet, medications, and other monthly expenses. I will be able to take care of my health without losing a functioning home, and I would be so grateful. Thank you for your consideration and anything you are able to give.
