I'm 61 & About to Get a Degree in Microbiology. I Was Laid off at Walgreens & Will Lose Power Now!

My Story:

I am a 61-year-old woman living with my sweet 8-year-old Yorkie. I have two grown children. In my life, I have published two children's books and ran my own companies, and what I want more than anything now is to start an elderly animal rescue center where animals can live out their lives without cages. I'm also about to obtain a BS in Microbiology.

I was working full-time as a customer service representative at Walgreens, but I was laid off. I was able to get unemployment benefits, but they have run out. I have been doing people's taxes in the meantime to stay afloat, and after tax season, I have a phone job for a major amusement park lined up. I did, nonetheless, lose pay amongst all of this, and I am concerned now about falling too far behind on my rent.

I am asking for help with my utility bill, so I can have enough to pay my rent. I do not want to live in a shelter at my age, especially when I still have so many things I want to accomplish. This act of kindness would keep me safe and healthy in my home. Thank you for anything you can give.
