I Battled Kidney Cancer, & After Losing Work for Treatment, I Could Be Homeless Before I Recover!
My Story:
I am a 56-year-old single woman living alone, and I work in a public school. I try to keep myself positive since I have no one else, but that has gotten harder since being diagnosed with kidney cancer.
I have been trying to keep myself afloat after having two surgeries this past year. I had a surgery to treat my cancer, and then three months later, I needed back surgery. After taking time off work to recover and paying my medical bills, I did not have enough money left to pay my rent. I am doing a lot of physical therapy, and thankfully, I can manage my pain, but I do not know what I will do if I get evicted. It is absolutely crucial to my health to be indoors and warm.
I am asking for help this once with my rent, so I can recover from my surgeries. This will allow me to stay on top of my health as I work my way back to self-sufficiency. Thank you so much for your kindness.
