A Driver Hit Me, & I Flew 15 Feet in the Air. I Won't Have a Home to Recover In After My Surgery!
My Story:
I live alone with my dog, Sid, as my beautiful children are now in college. I love shopping with my friends, visiting my kids at their school, and going on long walks with Sid.
On the second day of the new year, I was hit by an uninsured driver while crossing the street. I looked both ways; all the cars were stopped. I entered the crosswalk, but the car across the road facing me did not see me. He sped ahead and hit me causing me to fly 15 feet in the air. I ended up breaking my heel and ankle. Now I need surgery to repair my ankle and will be off work for 6 weeks. In just one moment, my life completely changed. It has been an emotional rollercoaster, and after paying all of my medical expenses, I am unsure how I will pay my rent.
I am asking for help with one month's rental payment. Your generosity will make sure I have a home to return to after I get out of surgery. It is very scary to not be able to walk anymore, but this act of kindness would help me focus on regaining my strength. Thank you so much for reading.
