I Care for My Parents Who Both Suffered Strokes. After a Huge Utility Bill, We Could Be Evicted!

My Story:

I am a single mother of two boys. My first son would be ten now, but he passed away at four and half months old from SIDS. My second son is five and everything to me. He's such a happy kid; he shares practically everything he owns with his friends. I work full-time doing hair, Instacart, and several other side jobs, so I can have a flexible schedule for him. My sister and I also take care of both our parents. They suffered strokes last year.

I recently subletted two rooms in my home to families that needed a place to stay, and they broke their payment agreement. I returned home to find that they had all vacated without notice, and they paid me nothing. Usually, this would not be an issue, as I do not usually sublet my home to make ends meet, but the families used a lot of water and electricity that I now must pay for on our utility bill. I had to use my rent money to ensure my family would not be shut off, and now my landlord is threatening to evict me. I explained the situation to him, but he does not take any excuses.

I am asking for help with my rent this month, so my boy and I can keep a roof over our heads. This will keep me from getting an eviction on my record and potentially not being able to find a place to stay later on. Your act of kindness will also prevent me from paying tons of legal and late fees which would just worsen the situation we are in. Thank you so much.
