I Was Out of Work for Months Battling Lung & Brain Cancer, & Now We Could Be Evicted!

My Story:

I am married to my amazing husband. He is an artist and makes his living teaching people to paint masterpieces from scratch. I am a professional model, actress, and RnB singer-songwriter.

I was devastated after getting diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer; I have never smoked, and it does not run in my family. Before I knew it, there were tumors in my brain. I had to have an emergency brain surgery, and I woke up partially blind. I am blessed to have no pain during this time, but I was not able to work for 6 months while obtaining treatment. The burden of everything fell onto my husband. He did the best he could, but he would have to take time off to care for me sometimes. Our car is about to be repossessed, and despite working with the company to set up a payment arrangement, we are afraid we will not be able to make our first payment after we pay our rent.

We are asking for help with our rent this month, so we can afford to save our car. This would allow us to continue with our art and focus on my treatment without choosing between a car or a home. Thank you so much for your compassion.
