This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeIt is with a very humble and grateful heart that I reach out to you today, to express my deepest gratitude for your incredibly kind contribution. I know with giving also comes sacrifice, and you have surely sacrificed something to help me and my daughter out today. So, I wanted to make sure that you know how grateful we both are and what a positive and beneficial impact your sacrifice and help will have for us. Due to your very generous donation, my daughter will be able to wake up in her own bed tomorrow, in her own room that I worked so hard to provide for her. She (and I) will rest easier, knowing that we have a secure, safe, and familiar place to live - our home- and the home we have built around us will continue to provide us comfort and reassurance as we confront the health challenges I am facing. Fighting Lymes disease has been a difficult battle; my daughter has been very strong through it all.. your contribution means the world to me for my own good, but even more so for my daughters. Thank you for allowing her to see the good in people, the good in the world, and for refueling our strength to proceed through this battle. Your donation and sacrifice will not be forgotten and was most definitely not in vain. Our deepest thanks to every person who took time out of their life to read our story and donate to our cause. Many blessings to each of you! Our utmost gratitude, Kristen & Larkin

I'm a Teacher & Single Mom. I'm Battling My Illness, but the Medical Bills Could Leave Us Homeless!

My Story:

I am a single mother of one 11-year-old daughter, and she loves art, school, and sports. Before my daughter was born, I was an organic farmer, growing healthy food for the community! I work now as an elementary school teacher, and despite working 50 hours a week, my income just barely covers our expenses.

After a deer ran in front of my car, I had to use what little savings I had to buy a new vehicle. Shortly after this accident, my health really started to decline; I found out I had Lyme disease, a ruptured cervical disc, and cranial palsy which affects my eyesight. The medical bills that I had to pay to be seen by the doctor have prevented me from paying my rent on time and even caused me to fall behind on some utility bills.

I am requesting assistance with my rent. This help will help me focus on battling my illness. I can be the best teacher to my students and mom to my little girl. Your act of kindness would keep us from enduring homelessness and save the place my daughter has called home ever since she was 4 years old. Thank you so much.
