I'm a Grandma & My Car Has Needed so Many Repairs That I Fell Behind. Please Help Me Fix It!
My Story:
Technically, I live alone in my apartment, but my 5-year-old grandson, Cole, and I are best buds and together more often than not. I am always taking him back and forth to school, swim lessons, soccer, you name it.
In June, I had COVID and lost work for over a week. I also have some other health issues that keep me from working full-time hours. Because of my limited and lost income, I fell behind on rent after repairing my vehicle. My 2014 Ford Escape broke down more times than I can remember. At the end of summer, I had to replace my catalytic converter. Two weeks later, the car started making squealing noise. I decided to just leave it parked until I could find better employment, but because it was sitting for 3 months the battery died. Unbelievable! I was making deliveries off and on to bring in extra income, so when my car stopped running, I lost that source of income as well. I'm exhausted trying to get all my bills paid after this situation, and I am running out of funds to keep taking Lyfts everywhere I need to go.
I am writing to ask for help getting the car repaired, so it can finally have everything it needs to be dependable. I have always been able to live off the income I bring in for myself, but this has made things very rocky. This help with getting my car back on the road again will keep me safe, secure my job, and allow me to support myself again. Thank you so much for anything you can give.
