User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThank you so much for your contribution to our family! I honestly dont know of any other platform that will help in the way that you guys did. I love that you guys have such a giving and generous community. While we were homeless and many other times even recently, it felt as if people just didnt care about our situation. We felt alone, like we were living in a dark, cold and selfish world. But you guys have given us hope, comfort and strength knowing that there are still caring people in the world. This is going to help us tremendously because things were looking very bleak, like I could feel us sinking lower and lower into debt, but you guys have just helped to give us a sigh of relief that we can rebound from this sooner than later. I know what it's like to have plenty, and I know what it's like to have nothing. I look forward to using this platform to bless others in the same way that our family has been blessed by you guys. We can now enjoy a warm Christmas in our home. Our family thanks you all from the deepest part of our hearts.

My Family of 8 Overcame Homelessness, but We Could Lose It All. Please Help With Our Utility Bills!

My Story:

I am a wife and mother of 6 amazing children. My 1-year-old is so sweet and fiery like me. She loves singing and is already passionately praying for the entire family. Yes, my 1-year-old! My 4-year-old twins are very smart, funny loving, and rambunctious. My 7-year-old is so sweet, funny, and intelligent. My 9-year-old is very talented and loves karate. My 11-year-old is very sweet, smart, goofy, and has an entrepreneur's spirit. They are all home-schooled, and they all love anything to do with music. I am self-employed and my work is commission based. Two months ago, I had a client whose deal fell through, and she failed to pay me my minimum fee. This has dragged on for 2.5 months, so I've lost two months' worth of pay. My husband lost his job about a year ago, but he helps with homeschooling. We were homeless 16 months ago, but we stuck to our plan to better our lives. We lived in a bad neighborhood for 1 year, but we were grateful to have a roof over our heads. We knew we could keep saving and move our family to a safer neighborhood, so that's exactly what we did. God completely turned our lives around financially. We live in a great neighborhood now, but things have been hard recently.

We were just served an eviction notice. We had to get a loan to pay for our outstanding balance, but next month's payment is rapidly approaching. My husband has been doing small delivery jobs just to feed us for the past month, but two days ago, our car broke down. Our car is now sitting in a gas station until we can afford to get it towed back to our house. Our car was the main thing that got us through homelessness, so we really need that to be fixed. We can always fall back on utilizing our car as a source of income, but now that we could be without it, we don't know what to do. We are truly still attempting to rebuild our lives. We don't even have furniture in our home yet. My children stand up and share chairs every night to eat dinner. I know that it's a process, and I thank God for all the kind hearts that have helped us along the way.

We are asking for help with our various utility bills, so we can focus on getting out of this situation with our car and rent. Even if my husband must buy the parts and do the work on the car himself, he is willing and ready to do that. Without our car, we would not even be able to do get groceries. As you can imagine, it costs a lot to feed our family of 8, so we can't afford delivery services. Our internet will be cut off soon, which is how we make all our money, so any assistance we can get with these utility bills would be a lifesaver. There is always a fierce battle right before the finish line. I feel that is what my family is experiencing. As I mentioned earlier, my husband and I have a plan that we have been executing to expand my business in a way that would change my family's lives permanently. We are literally weeks away, and now it seems that all these roadblocks are in the way. I feel that this help is key for our family. At this point, it is literally sink or swim for us because eviction happens very quickly. Thank you so much for anything that you can contribute to the building and rebuilding of my family's life.
