My Ex-Husband Threatened Us With a Gun & I'm Suing Him, but The Eviction Process Has Started! Help!
My Story:
I'm a recently divorced single mom, and I just started working a new job as a travel agent. My baby and I love singing and going to therapy together.
We are in therapy because we have been through some scary things so far in my son's short life. I'm in the middle of a lawsuit against my ex-husband because he threatened us with a gun. To make matters worse, I was laid off from my job while all of this was taking place. I can always cover our bills, but the period of unemployment combined with the divorce and custody battle caused me to fall behind on our rent. I have reached out to local charities and public housing programs; none of them can help me. I am employed again, so my income is back to normal. We are just finding it hard to catch back up, and my eviction process is already underway. I'm terrified of being on the street with my baby.
We are asking for assistance with our rent this month. This help will keep a roof over our heads while we get through this difficult transition. Thank you so much for taking the time to read our story.
