I'm a Single Mom of 3 & Was Furloughed Suddenly for 3 Months. Help Us Catch Up!
My Story:
I am a single mother of three wonderful children. My eldest daughter is sixteen and a junior in high school. I have two amazing, intelligent sons. My oldest son is twelve and the youngest is nine. All three get very good grades. I work full-time as a customer service representative working with student loans. I work from home, and I just returned to work in July after being furloughed for three months without notice. That was my only income, and it put me in a bind for three months. I started to fall behind on bills. I just want to get back caught up, so I don't have to worry.
I earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month but not enough to catch up. I live paycheck to paycheck, and I do not have any savings set aside for emergencies. It's hard to save with three children who you take care of on your own.
We need help to pay back our rent and electric bill which are two months behind. We are worried that we could be evicted and have our lights turned off.
This act of kindness will bring our household current with our bills again and take a huge burden off my shoulders. This assistance will allow us to save and pay off smaller bills. It is very hard for me to ask for help, but we really need it. I am trying to find a second job, so we can stay ahead and put money into savings.
