I'm a Dad of 2 & Lost My Job At the Worst Time. Now, My Family & I Could Be Evicted!

My Story:

I am a married father of two children. My 22-year-old son is a senior in college, and my 13-year-old daughter is in middle school. I have spent the last 25 years working in the healthcare/IT field, and my wife works part-time in a retail clothing store. We enjoy spending time together, and we love to play board games.

Approximately 9 months ago I was laid off from my job as a customer liaison manager. Since then, I've been searching and interviewing for a new position. I've done small jobs to keep money coming in, but it has been difficult to find a permanent position. I lost the stability of a steady paycheck and health insurance for me and my family and at the worst time, too. The timing has been rough because we are in need of car repairs, and I have some health issues I need to focus on. We have gone through all of our savings to keep up with our bills but now we realize we need to ask for help since our rent payments have fallen behind.

This one-time assistance with our rent would be the most helpful thing right now. We are so afraid of losing our apartment. We want to keep our daughter in a stable home and in her current school district.

This kindness would bring our rent current and provide me with a little more time to secure a permanent position. Once I do, I know we can get back on our feet.
