I'm a Single Mom of 3. After Spraining My Ankle and Losing Work, My Kids and I Will Soon Be Evicted!

My Story:

I'm a single mother of 2 boys and 1 girl ages 9, 12, and 13. All my children love to play games outside when the weather permits.

I do have a full-time job, but we still live paycheck to paycheck. I recently sprained my ankle and was put on light duty at work. I fell behind on rent because I lost hours at work, and then I got an eviction letter in the mail. I've called everywhere around me for help; I really do not know what to do.

This one-time assistance with our rent would allow my kids and I to keep our home. As a single mother, it is very scary to think about being homeless and jumping from shelter to shelter with 3 kids. I am so worried I will lose our home. I usually help others and have a hard time admitting that I need help, but this is for my family's safety.

This kindness will bring my rent up to date and provide a sense of stability for my kids and I. My doctor approved me to go back to work today, so I will be able to stay on top of my bills again. This would relieve so much stress that has been building up over the past few weeks as I scramble to ensure my kids and I have a place to sleep at night.
