I'm Out of Work as a TV/Film Contractor. Please Help Me Keep My Home!

My Story:

I am a single individual, and until recently I was working independently as a contractor in the tv/film industry. I could not find further employment in my industry due to pending union negotiations that began in the fall of last year. Those have resulted in the full-blown writer's strike that has gained a lot of public attention. I was able to obtain employment with Victoria Secret Customer Service for the holiday season, and once that ended, I became temporarily employed by a staffing agency for the month of March. I have not had income since then besides the earnings I made delivering food for day to day living expenses. My last paycheck from the staffing agency was used to cover April's rent. Thankfully, last week I began training for work in the restaurant industry on a part-time basis until I am able to secure better work. I will not see this income for another two weeks until I receive tips, but in the meantime, I need help covering the rent that I owe for April so that I don't lose my home.

I fear I will be faced with an eviction if I do not receive assistance. My lease is coming to an end at my current address, which means I have to find another place to live, but that will be difficult to do with an eviction on my record and if I owe rent to another landlord. Truly this assistance couldn't come at a more opportune time for me. I'll be able to stabilize, find a new home, and then pay this kindness forward when I have a chance. Once I am able to jump this hurdle, I hope to carry this experience with me and bless someone else in the future.
