I'm in the Middle of a Custody Battle For My Son. He's in My Care Now, but We're Behind on Rent!

My Story:

Our household consists of myself, my hubby, and my two munchkins. We share our home with 11 lovebirds and 2 parakeets. My 8-year-old son loves to play video games and play with his sister while my 5-year-old daughter loves her brother and absolutely loves art as well. I work full-time as a Supervisor for the Mental Health Association of NY, and our primary goal is to help as many as we can that are or may be in crisis. My hubby is a Taekwondo black belt, and he assists his dad from time to time at his father's dojo. He just became a US citizen a few months ago, and because he loves helping people, as soon as he became a citizen, he applied to serve in the NYPD. I pray he gets called soon!

Last year in May, I was working as an operation assistant for the Mental Health Association of NY, and my paycheck barely covered all the bills. We were surviving every month paycheck-to-paycheck. My son lived with his biological father at the time due to a co-parenting agreement that we made back in 2019. However, due to concerning matters, my son moved in with us. There is currently a custody battle happening because of the concerning matters. I had to find ways to get my son some clothes, toys, school supplies, etc because his father refused to send any of his stuff to us. This caused me to fall behind on many bills. I had to find ways to make ends meet, but unfortunately, I cannot seem to catch up to my rent.

Thankfully, I recently received a promotion, and with that, I can stay on top of our bills. However, I can't get caught up on our rent. I tried working with my landlord and it seemed to be going okay for a little while. I was paying slowly but surely, in small increments, but I've fallen so far behind that I cannot catch up, and now we are facing eviction. I'm very humbly asking for assistance with saving our home, and truly, we would be so grateful for the support that we receive.
