Today I woke up and seen that so many people had helped my children and I and now we wont be losing our home. From the bottom of our hearts we sincerely appreciate each and everyone of you who helped even though you didnt have to the kindness of your heart allowed you to. I wish nothing but goodness on everyone and we thank you so much. God bless you all!

I Lost My Job & We're Behind on Rent. I'm Working Again, but We'll Be Homeless Before I Get Paid!

My Story:

I am a single mother to four beautiful children ages 13, 10, 9, and 5 years old. In addition to raising my children as a single mother, I am a full time college student, and I also just started a job at a hospital working very long shifts, sometimes more than 12 hours at a time. My family loves spending time together; whether it being going to the park or just taking walks on the river, we just love to be together. My 13, 10, and 5 year olds all love to draw and my 9-year-old loves sports. I have two boys and two girls. When I'm not busy at work or getting them to and from school and extracurriculars, we love to watch movies and just hangout. We're all each other have, so we stick together like glue.

My family is struggling due to a gap in employment that I faced a little over a month ago. I was laid off from a job that I had been at for a long time and that was giving me and my children a solid foundation financially speaking. Losing this job really pulled the rug out from underneath us, and I've been scrambling to recover. While I found a new job, it took a long time to do that, and I still won't collect a paycheck in time to keep up with our rent. As things stand, we'll be stuck behind on our rent by about a month, and we'll definitely be evicted before we can even come close to getting caught up.

Simply put, my family is facing homelessness, and so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent for this month. If we can get caught up on this month, we'll be able to get back on track now that I'm working, and from there on out, we'll be stable again. Truly, I would be so grateful for this assistance with our rent, and I promise that I will do what I can to pay it forwards in the near future.
