I'm Out of Work Battling Cancer & I Need Help With the Cost of My Treatment!

My Story:

I am a single dad who moved here to the United States to support my family in the Philippines. I was diagnosed with Myelofibrosis in October of 2017, and I've struggled with my health greatly since then. I am currently working as a housekeeper in a hotel. In my free time, I am a car enthusiast, and I also love basketball.

Recently, I was diagnosed with cancer. I have already been hospitalized three times last year and four times this year due to my condition. All that time spent in the hospital has caused me to miss a lot of work. This has had a domino effect on my finances and has made it difficult for me to pay my hospital bills, especially since I am currently still not working. On top of my hospital bills, I also have monthly living expenses which have been difficult to manage due to my condition and inability to work. This has put me in a difficult and definitely unexpected situation. I want to focus all of my attention on beating cancer, but it's very difficult to do that when I'm trying to cover my medical bills and when I'm worried about being denied care at any moment due to non-payment.

Due to my condition, being admitted to the hospital can be unpredictable, and I am worried that if I do need to go back to the hospital and my current bill hasn't been paid, my hospital bills are going to pile up. This act of kindness would be a huge step ahead in terms of my battle with cancer, and I would be eternally grateful for the support that I receive.
