I Suffered a Heart Attack Due to Overworking! Please Help Us Keep Our Lights on!

My Story:

I am single mother to an amazing, smart, talented, kind, caring, and sassy at times- 14 year old daughter. She is my whole life, and I would do anything for her. I work full-time as a caseworker at the welfare office and had picked up a second job bartending before I got sick.

Between my two jobs, I earned enough to just get by. However, I work a lot of hours, and I couldn't sustain it. I was working 80/90 hours a week, which was not sustainable and at 34 years old. As a result of being overworked and the stress that put on my body, I had a heart attack. I had to take an unpaid leave of absence for 6 weeks while I recovered. This completely depleted our finances between the medical expenses, trying to keep the bills paid, and the normal for my daughter. We have nothing left in savings, and I was also let go from my bar job as they had shifts to fill and could not hold my position. As a result, I've fallen very far behind on our electric bill, and we're facing an imminent shut-off because I haven't been able to pay it in months.

I'm humbly asking for help to get caught up on our electric bill. I was in a payment arrangement, and I've fallen behind because I was out of work due to the heart attack I suffered, and now there is no way I can get caught up without getting too far behind somewhere else now that I lost my second job. The winter moratorium will end and my medical shut off extension will end at around the same time. We're running out of time, and we desperately need help.
