Due to the severity of Landon�s condition it has been very overwhelming to pay for all his medical care and we are just extremely grateful there are people out there that care enough to help our family. Our Son Suffered a Severe Brain Injury, & We're Struggling to Afford His Treatment!
My Story:
I'm a stay-at-home mom, and my husband and I have five wonderful children running around at home. Our children are really amazing, they love to be outside playing whenever they can be. However, one of our children recently experienced a tragic injury. Over the summer, my son was helping to put up our fence, and he was hit in the head with a post. The injury caused severe damage to his brain, and it's been really hard on him.
As a result of my son's injury, I had to quit my job teaching to care for him. My husband still works full-time, and we're able to handle most of our bills, but without my income, we're definitely living on a much tighter budget. My son's brain injury not only resulted in me having to step away from my job, but it also resulted in a lot of medical bills that we've struggled to cover. We used most of our savings to cover those, and now my son needs therapy, and that has us living completely from paycheck to paycheck. Right now we have three outstanding bills for his doctor's visits, and I just don't know how we're going to be able to cover those this month. I'm worried that if we leave this unpaid, they will continue to snowball out of our control, but my biggest fear is that our provider will refuse to see my son until the bills are paid. With the health and safety of our child in mind, my husband and I are very humbly asking for assistance with these medical bills.
This generous support will allow my son to continue to receive medical care and treatment for the foreseeable future. It will prevent these bills from being sent to collections, and it will take some of the financial burden off my husband and I so that we can focus on finding some stability again. My family would be eternally grateful for this support, and I promise that we will never forget the kindness we're shown.
