A Hospital Stay Kept Me Out of Work & Put Us Behind on Rent. Please Help Us Keep Our Home!
My Story:
I'm a young single mother, and I do the best that I can to provide for my young daughter, but it's been very hard for me to do that lately. Recently, I had to spend time in the hospital due to my mental health taking a turn for the worst. At the time I was attending school, working full-time, and caring for my daughter. I experienced a breakdown, and I couldn't eat or sleep without the help of the doctors at the hospital for several weeks.
During my hospital stay, I wasn't able to work at all, and that's caused me and my daughter a lot of hardship. Despite the fact that I'm back at work now, I'm struggling to catch up on the bills that we fell behind on while I was in the hospital. More than anything, I want to put this whole mental health crisis behind me, but the financial situation we're in won't allow me to do that. We're facing the very real threat of homelessness, as we are significantly behind on our rent.
I don't have the means to cover the rent that I owe right now, and I'm afraid that by the end of the month, my daughter and I will be homeless. For the sake of my small family, I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent. Without help we'll lose our home, but if we are able to get this assistance, I'll be able to put my mental health crisis behind me, and I can finally start to rebuild and heal. Thank you to everyone who lends us a hand with our rent in advance.
