After Losing Hours at Work & Repairing My Vehicle, I Need Help Keeping My Electricity Turned on!
My Story:
I'm a computer scientist who's a huge sci-fi fan and amateur astronomer. I have a Bachelor of Science in Computer science, and after being influenced by television shows like Star Trek and Battlestar Galactica, I've been inspired to seek opportunities to apply my software engineering skills in the science and engineering sector. Right now, I'm working in a low-wage job, but I've been working with career coaches who are helping me to apply for opportunities with many of the big aerospace companies, and I hope to soon get job offers.
My mother used to say: 'When it rains it pours.' Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, changes in my work hours, the recent increase in my rent, and costs to partially repair my car (which I need to commute to work) my savings has been just about depleted, and I've fallen behind on my rent and electric bill. The stress from worry has disrupted my sleep for the last three months, which has subsequently impacted on a number of health issues I already have. As things stand, I can manage my rent, but I don't have the means to catch up on my electric bill, and it's set to be disconnected this month.
Disconnection would mean the inability to use the medical equipment I need and, because it's also a stipulation in my lease, I could face eviction. That would further impact my health since I have no money for a hotel stay, and nowhere else to go. With that in mind, I'm very humbly asking for assistance with my electric bill so that I can avoid having my power shut off. This act of generosity would keep me healthy and safe in my home, and for that, I would be eternally grateful.
