An Unexpected Car Repair Has Left Me in Danger of Eviction. Please Help Me Bring My Rent Current!
My Story:
I am separated and single and work full time. I don't have any dependents and have to depend almost entirely on myself. I live in an area where the cost of living is extremely high, and I'm just barely able to make ends meet.
Last November, my car broke down, and the cost of the repair was nearly equal to the cost of the my monthly rent. Because I need my car to get to work and I didn't have enough money to pay both my rent AND for the car repair, I chose to pay for the car repair so I could keep working. I've been behind on my rent ever since, and I'm afraid that if I can't catch up soon, my landlord is going to begin the eviction process.
I'm hoping that Modest Needs will help me catch up on my rent. Any help you can offer would be genuinely appreciated and would go a long way towards getting my life back to normal after a car repair that turned my life upside down. Thank you.
