My Family Has Had a Difficult Year After Losing Our Son & Taking in Our Nephews. Please Help Us!

My Story:

I am the head of the household of a family of four. Tragically, not too long ago I lost my son, but I also became the temporary legal guardian of my two nephews after my brother's health deteriorated due to COVID. I miss my son greatly, and I mourn him every day. At the same time, my nephews need me, so I'm working hard to stay focused on caring for them. My thirteen-year-old nephew is in the 8th grade, and he is in the school's soccer team. He really enjoys learning, and if he had not gotten sick from COVID, he would have had perfect attendance every year he's been in school. My eighteen-year-old nephew is finishing his senior year in high school, and even though he was behind a semester, when he came to live with me and my wife, he focused on his studies and caught up. He will be graduating on time with the rest of his class, and we're very proud of him. My amazing and loving wife went back to school and is a full-time student at a college and a part-time personal shopper/delivery driver. I am a full-time employee for several delivery apps and companies. I do deliveries locally as well as out of town. I have an emotional support cat that has helped me cope with my anxiety. Her name is LamLam, and she is one year and 3 months old.

Unfortunately, during COVID my wife and I lost our full-time jobs. We went from having two incomes to no income at all and drained our savings. We both started working as delivery drivers, each of us in our own car, until last June when we got sick from COVID and couldn't work. We were already a month behind on our car payment, and when we didn't make our next payment on time, due to the fact that we were sick and in isolation, they came and repossessed one of our cars. We're down to one vehicle now, but with all of the wear and tear on it, it needs extensive repairs. However, after draining our savings, we can't afford to make the repairs that it needs, and we're both going to be out of work again if it breaks down completely. With that in mind, my wife and I are very humbly asking for assistance with making these repairs, and we would be forever grateful to receive this help. We'll be able to keep pushing ahead for the sake of our nephews thanks to the generosity we're shown.
