Our Son Beat Cancer but is Battling a Rare Disease. We Missed Work to Care for Him & Need Help!
My Story:
I am currently a stay-at-home mom of two kids, and we have one on the way. My 9-year-old daughter loves school and being outside. My 3-year-old son is a wild child that loves to be in the garage with daddy. Daddy works on a farm and loves to spend his time at home with the kids outside playing or working on things in the garage. We have two dogs that love to run and play with the kids too.
I have been out of work since December 2020 when our son was diagnosed with Stage IV High Risk Neuroblastoma. He was cleared of cancer in July 2022 but also diagnosed with a rare disease called Gaucher's Disease that requires bi-weekly treatments. These treatments have to be administered in an infusion center, and we travel three hours each way to receive them. His dad has had to miss more work than usual to help us with these treatments as the winter has not been very nice to us here in North Dakota. Missing more work means we don't have the essential funds needed to pay for all of our bills.
Our monthly mortgage payment is our main concern, as we need our home and defaulting on that will have a huge negative impact on us long-term. I'm very humbly asking for assistance with catching up on our mortgage, so that we can keep our home and get back on our feet again.
Receiving this help will lessen our burden right now and potentially save our credit and save us from the long-term, negative effects from missing a very vital bill. Truly, we will never forget the generous people who come together to save our home. Thank you all in advance for this assistance.
