I Lost My OT Hours Over the Holidays & Need Help Keeping Up with Our Electric Bill Please!
My Story:
I'm a single mother with a wonderful 17-year-old girl at home. When I'm not spending time with my daughter, I'm working full-time. Currently, I have a job at a plastic plant that's run by ExxonMobil. I've been working there for three years now, and it's given me the stability that I needed to find my daughter and I a home of our own. I recently got a raise at my job, but we still live paycheck to paycheck.
Over the holidays, I had my overtime hours cut, and even some of my regular shifts were cut. I have put my name on the list for call ins, but over the holidays, I never got called in for jobs or for overtime. Like I said, we live paycheck to paycheck, so with this downturn in income, I've struggled to keep up with our bills. I can't cover our electric bill this month, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance.
Without help, I'm worried that we'll get stuck behind on this major bill and that could lead us to even broader financial issues. On the other hand, with this assistance, we'll be able to get back on track now that my hours have been restored, and for that we would be very grateful. Thank you.
