User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeWhen I saw that I would receive my request for assistance, I was immediately able to breathe easier. My debt and this bill in particular weigh heavily on me. It has become difficult to be optimistic lately since I constantly brainstorm ideas to improve our situation and struggle to come up with achievable solutions. I try to make each day a great day for my beautiful, kind children; however, knowing how hard it will be to make my income stretch as far as needed takes a toll on my ability to stay sunny. I am so grateful for this website and your, the donor's, contributions to my family. You have made it easier to keep my smile today.

I'm a Single Mother Caring for a Special Needs Child, & I Need Help Covering a Medical Bill Please!

My Story:

I am a single mother of four--a 15 year old, a 5 year old, and a pair of 3 year old twins. I am in the middle of a multi-year long divorce that has tied up any assets I have. My children are wonderful, but we've been through a lot the past few years. My 15 year old is in therapy because of the abuse we received from her father. He lost his way, and I couldn't help him find it. My children all have separation anxiety because of the difficult times we went through. My 3 year old boy is autistic with pretty severe developmental delays and behavioral issues. He thinks I'm better than sliced bread and would stay by my side all day if he could. My other two young children are more active than most, leading to very eventful days.

The strain of being the sole financial provider for my four children while dealing with medical expenses, juggling my children's therapies and managing divorce proceedings have left me drained. I have no savings left and live paycheck to paycheck at this time. My autistic child loves devices- iPads and phones- because they allow him some choice and control and help him communicate his wants and needs. However, he breaks them often even in the best of cases. He is very strong and has even broken my appliances by pulling on locked washing machine doors and removing screws from the oven door. It has been difficult to cover the insurance deductibles on devices and replace broken appliances. All in all, I have found it very difficult to keep up with all of our bills while taking care of my children as a single mother and without any support from their father.

Right now, I'm struggling to cover a medical bill, and I need help before it goes to collections. I am asking for help in paying what I owe from a required surgery in August 2022. I had been having issues since my twin's birth. I had a scare where I needed to be taken to the emergency room in June of 2022. I finally made the time to go and have an ultrasound, and I needed surgery afterwards. Having assistance with this bill would be a tremendous help, and it would free up a lot of room to go towards other bills. For that, I would be forever grateful. Thank you.
