Car Repair Expenses Have Added Up, & now I'm Going to Be Homeless! Please Help.
My Story:
I'm a career-minded single woman, and I'm in my mid-thirties. I'm doing my best to get through life, and I have been working full-time to assist those suffering from addiction ever since I obtained my degree in social work in 2020. I have a passion for helping others and supporting the recovery journey to make communities healthier and happier for everyone. When I'm not working, I love spending time with my two cats who I love and adore.
As a social worker, I make a modest income, and as a single woman, I live in an apartment complex surrounded by neighbors in order to have a safer community. I make enough to pay my monthly bills but with very little left over. In the last two months, I've had to make several unexpected repairs to my car, including replacing my windshield after a walnut fell on it and cracked it, and I also need to replace two wheel bearings. These unexpected expenses have put me behind on my rent, and I need help catching up.
I'm behind by a month, and I'm worried that if I continue to get to far behind, I'll lose my home. My complex has very strict rules about rent payments, and if I fall any further behind, they're going to start eviction proceedings. The community that I'm in is very safe, and as a single female living on my own, I feel very comfortable here. I'm afraid I won't be able to find that anywhere else. So, with that said, I would be very grateful to all of the kind people who come together to save my home.
