I Sacrificed Our Rent to Repair Our Vehicle, & Now We Need Help Keeping Our Home!

My Story:

I am a single mom of a 3-year-old son. My son enjoys playing with toy trucks and watching movies, and he also loves playing with our dog. I work full-time at an elementary school and also attend school, full-time and online, and I'm working on getting my degree to become a social worker. My son is the only family I have with me in Las Vegas, and we also don't receive assistance from his father.

As a single parent, I work one full-time job that allows me to cover my household bills while also paying daycare expenses. Still, that's about all I'm able to do from month to month, and so we don't have much to put into savings. My most recent car repair expense required me to replace the engine to my car. I've missed two weeks of work due to the lack of transportation and commuting to work. I've also risked my son's place at his daycare, as it's been difficult for him to attend without me being able to provide transportation. As a result, I am forced to pay to have my car repaired with my rent as I don't have any other means to pay the remaining balance that I owe to the repair shop. My job is my only source of income, and I need help covering our rent after using it to pay for vehicle repairs.

I had to get our vehicle repaired because without it, I can't work, and my son's learning is suffering as a result too. However, now I can't cover our rent for this month, and I'm afraid that we're going to lose our home. This assistance would allow me to get our vehicle repaired, and it'll keep us in our home through the holidays. My son and I would be forever grateful for the support that we receive, and we promise to pay it forward with an act of kindness of our own in the near future.
