I Lost My Father & Then My Job! Please Help Save Our Home!

My Story:

I am married, and my husband and I have a young son. However, I'm raising him on my own because my husband doesn't live in the United States right now. My son is 5 years old, and he loves to draw and has aspirations of becoming a policeman one day. I have been working in the health care field for many years, and I love what I do, but I recently fell on hard times. My husband isn't here right now because he doesn't have paperwork to come to the USA, so we're struggling to get by on our own.

On top of my husband not being here, my family is struggling because we had to move. We were living with my late father, as I was working as his caregiver. He was an amazing man, and he served proudly in the Marines. My whole family misses him dearly. We moved when he passed away, and then just a few weeks after signing a new lease, the clinic that I was working at closed down. I was unemployed for four months, and we struggled to keep up with our rent. Thankfully, I found another job, and I've been able to slowly catch up on our rent using the unemployment that I receive; however, I don't have the means to catch up in time to avoid being evicted.

I'm starting my new job in a few weeks, but I won't collect a paycheck or receive enough to get current with our rent. Our landlord wants the balance that we owe paid by the new year, but without assistance, we don't have the means to do that. I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent, as it will see us through this short-term hardship until I can start working again. We would be so grateful for this assistance because with it, we'll be able to turn our attention towards getting my husband the proper paperwork that he needs to live in the USA. Thank you.
