After My Old Employer Stole My Wages, I Need Help Keeping My Home Please!
My Story:
I am a single 26-year-old woman who loves being creative and exploring new hobbies and places. I work full-time as a mixologist and have been doing this for 3 years now. I really love it because I get to put my creativity into practice, and I get to meet a lot of interesting people too.
Unfortunately, my most recent job turned out to be something of a scam. I was working for a place that refused to pay their employees, and I fell victim to that like my coworkers. We all had bills to pay, and we needed to keep our jobs, but our employer simply wasn't cutting us checks, and he would keep promising to pay us but wouldn't ever come up with anything. At the first sign of trouble, I started searching for a new job, but that took a long time. So, this went on for a few months, and I still wasn't receiving a paycheck. Eventually, I was able to find a new job, but I still haven't been able to get my former employer to give me the back pay that he owes me. I'm looking at ways to get the money from him through the legal system, but that could take a long time, and at this point, I'm out of time.
After not being paid for months, I'm behind on my rent, and I'm about to lose my home. While I'm working and earning a paycheck again, I'm not able to catch up on all of the rent that I owe. Even after trying to reach a payment agreement with my landlord, I'm still on the brink of being evicted. I'm on my own in this city, and I don't have anywhere to turn to for help, so I'm seeking assistance here. I would feel deeply blessed to receive this assistance, and I promise that I will do everything in my power to repay the generosity that I'm shown. Thank you.
