I'm a Veteran & Need Help Keeping My Home During a Gap in Employment!

My Story:

I'm a veteran, and a single man living on my own. After leaving the service, I have worked hard to support myself, and currently I'm working in the field of Human Resources. I enjoy what I do, and I love my job because a lot of it involves helping others find employment. When I'm not working, I enjoy listening to music, traveling, and eating at different cultural restaurants.

Like I said, I enjoy my job, and I earn enough to live comfortably. However, my department at my old job downsized, and there were managerial and departmental changes that caused me to lose employment. While I've been hired at a new company, my start date isn't until next month. All in all, I won't be receiving any income for a little over a month, and for that reason, I've been struggling to maintain certain expenses.

As things stand, I'm behind on my rent and desperately need help catching up this month. My landlord has already threatened me with eviction if I can't come up with what I owe from the month that I missed work. I'm very humbly asking for assistance with my rent so that I don't lose my home and so that I can start my new job and this new chapter of life without any hiccups. With this help I'll be able to regain my stability, my confidence, and I'll finally be able to get back on my feet.
