My Niece is Battling Cancer & Relies on Me for Transportation. I Need Help Repairing My Car Please!
My Story:
While I live on my own, my brother passed away from cancer 10 years ago, and I have been helping to care for his special needs children since his passing. Tragically, one of my nieces is battling cancer as well, so I help with the cost of her medications and by giving her transportation to her treatments. I have been taking her to her treatments since I am now retired; however, my car broke down, so I'm struggling to get her to her treatments now.
As a senior citizen, I live entirely on a fixed income and am unable to work. I receive social security and survivor's benefits, and while those are usually enough to get by, they aren't enough to cover anything unexpected. I have gone through all my savings paying for my niece's medications, as her insurance does not cover the entire cost. Not to mention the price of gas to get her to her treatments. Needless to say, the rise in the cost of living has had a devastating effect on me. Because of this, I don't have the means to get my vehicle repaired, and for the sake of my niece's health, I'm very humbly asking for assistance with that expense.
Without my vehicle, I've struggled to help my niece, and that's been heartbreaking. She's fighting a very difficult battle, and I want to be there for her. This support would allow me to do that, and I would be very grateful. This support would mean so much to my niece, and I couldn't be more appreciative of the support that we receive.
