I Live on a Fixed Income & Need Help Moving to Be Closer to Family Please!
My Story:
I'm a retired senior, and I live on my own. I earned my bachelor's degree, and I worked in telecommunications for 25 years. I loved my job, and I miss it sometimes, but I'm looking forward to being able to spend more time with my friends and family. In fact, that is partly why I'm seeking assistance. I live very far away from my support system, and I'm working on moving to be closer to my friends and family. However, I live on a fixed income, so I'm having a hard time coming up with the money that I need to afford moving expenses.
I earn enough to pay rent and bills every month but do not make enough to pay for relocating to Michigan to be closer to family and friends. Any nearby family I have has moved away for work and I no longer have the support system that I need to get by. So, I'm very humbly asking for assistance with renting a moving truck to move myself and my belongings to Michigan.
In addition to missing out on my support system, I'm also asking for this help because my rent is about to go up. My current monthly lease amount is set to increase April 1, 2023. If I am unable to afford to move to Michigan, I will have no choice but to sign another lease at my current location. I can't afford to do that, and I can't stand being away from my family and friends anymore. So, I would be very grateful for this assistance with moving expenses. Once I've relocated, I'll look for ways to pay the generosity I'm shown forward.
