This person has left the following thank you note:
Thank you so much for your contribution. 2022 has been a tough year and this help means a lot for my family and me. We have been bouncing bills around to manage a tied budget. Bills such as food, utilities, housing, and more. It has been a little difficult to adapt to the civilian life. I am a 100 P/T disabled veteran who looks for positive things in life and proud of my military service. Our communities need more people like you, because that is what our country was built on help each other in the tough times regardless of background, creed, or race. Your contribution will be multiplied by thousands because of you selfless sense of help an unknown family. God will place many blessings on you and your loved ones. Count on me to return this favor to someone who might be in need. Happy Holidays from my family and me to yours.
I'm a Veteran Struggling to Keep My Family's Vehicle Insured After Returning to Civilian Life!
My Story:
I am a married father of four wonderful children, and I'm a US Army Veteran. My wife and I have two daughters,15 and 13 years old, and two boys, 3 and 8 years old. My oldest daughter and my 10-year-old son have Autism and need additional care at-home, and so that is why my wife does not work. They all have artistic sides, singing, writing, and enjoy movies. They all are energetic and love video games like man children their age. My 3-year-old feels like the boss at home, but he goes head to head with his sister, who definitely lords over all of her siblings. I would definitely characterize my family as positive and appreciative of all the blessings life has to offer. We went through so much while I was in the military, and we were apart for so many years during my deployments. Thankfully, I can now spend more time with my family.
We earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. We had no savings set aside when our family had to replace all of the tires on our vehicle, and we were also hit hard when the VA adjusted my benefits and recouped almost a thousand dollars from my separation pay. Like many other families too, our grocery bill has gone up steadily from month to month. On top of that, I just recently had to take a pay cut to start a new job. So, we've lost income over time, and then the car trouble has us facing the crisis we're currently in the middle of. We're barely hanging on, and we've had to sacrifice some of our monthly bills to cover our more vital expenses. As a result, I'm behind on my car insurance payment, and we need help catching up before our coverage lapses.
It's really important that our car is covered, but we just haven't been able to afford it after replacing all of the tires on our vehicle. With this help, we'll be able to get current again, and we'll be able to keep our insurance coverage and our vehicle on the road safely. In the long-term, I promise to use this act of generosity as an example for my children to always follow. We've always taught them to be kind to others because the rewards always come back around, and this will reinforce that belief even further. Thank you.
