I Had to Take a Leave of Absence from Work, & Now I'm going to Lose My Car Insurance! Please Help!
My Story:
I'm a 49-year-old single woman, and I live with my two cats in my modest apartment. I work full-time, but due to medical issues, I've been on unpaid medical leave from work for a few months now. I applied for MetLife and SSA once my FMLA was exhausted, but that is still pending, so my income is extremely limited right now. I'm returning to work soon, but the gap that I've experienced where I haven't had any income is making my financial situation really precarious. I've had to manage my bills without any disability assistance, and now by the time I'm able to receive disability assistance, I will have returned to work.
Right now, my foremost concern is with paying my car insurance bill. I'm about two months behind on it, and I can't afford to catch up because of the gap in income I experienced. If I lose my insurance, I'll lose my car and my ability to work, so I'm very humbly asking for assistance with that bill. This whole experience has been very difficult for me, and it's taken a toll on my mental health, but I know that if I can get this assistance, I'll be in a much better place going forward. For that I would be very appreciative, and I promise that once I'm back to work, I will look to pay this assistance forwards. Thank you.
