A Serious Car Accident Has Kept Me Out of Work & Has Caused Us to Fall Behind on Our Mortgage!

My Story:

My husband and I have been married for 42 years, and we don't have any children. 20 years ago, my husband became disabled and is unable to work. I have always cared for my husband will continue to do so no matter what because I love him very much. While I care for my husband during the day, I work over night in order to help my husband during the day. He's in hospice care now, and that has helped us a little bit, but we still struggle to get by from month to month.

Occasionally, I'll miss work in order to care for my husband, and that can cause us to fall behind when that happens. However, I was recently in a very bad car accident after my brakes gave out. I was pretty badly injured, and I have been on disability leave from my job for 6 weeks now. Currently, I'm receiving about 60% of my salary, and I'm grateful for that, but it hasn't been enough for my husband and I to keep up with our bills. I just went back to work this week, but we're behind on our mortgage, and we're going to lose our home before I'm able to start collecting a paycheck consistently.

My husband and I would be very grateful for assistance with our mortgage because without it, we'll lose our home. I'm working very hard to keep up, but the car accident has put us very far behind, and we're very afraid of losing our home. However, if we're able to get this assistance with our mortgage, we'll be able to keep our home and weather this storm. Thanks to this assistance, I would be able to continue to care for my husband in the comfort of our home.
