With Winter Coming Soon, We Need Help Refilling Our Propane Tank Please!
My Story:
I am a single mom of two, and I work full-time as the director of a program for children with Special Needs. Additionally, I am also a part-time therapist for babies with Developmental Delays. My daughter is in 8th grade. She is super sweet and funny, and she is an amazing soccer player. My son is in 10th grade and is working on teaching himself how to play the guitar. I am in the process of trying to purchase a house through Habitat for Humanity, and we are hopeful and pray every day that we get approved.
As a single mom, money is always tight for me, but I do whatever I can to make sure my kids have what they need. Two years ago, I fled an abusive relationship and found a house for me and my children to rent, and we have been slowly rebuilding since then. The rent for our home is relatively high, especially now, and the heat in our home comes entirely from propane, which can be relatively costly when it needs to be replaced. We were making plans to replace the propane tank, but then those plans were derailed when my mother tragically passed away due to complications from COVID. With winter just around the corner, we desperately need to replace our propane tank in order to keep our house warm. I have done everything I could to save the money needed to pay for our house to be heated this year on my own, but with my other bills and the cost of everyday living rising, I have come up short.
I'm very humbly asking for assistance with refilling our propane tank so that my children and I can remain safe and warm in our home through the winter. This one-time assistance would be truly life-saving for me and my family, and I promise that we will repay all of the kindness and generosity we're shown when we're able to again. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read our story and to everyone who considers us for this help.
