After Some Water Leaks Caused Our Water Bill to Get Out of Control, We Need Help Please!
My Story:
I am a single mom of four kids. My oldest son is 19 years old; my daughter is 15 years old; my younger daughter is 12 years old, and I also have a 4-month-old baby boy. All of my kids are outgoing and love to be out and about doing things. They're also very helpful, and my oldest two are such a huge help to me with their younger siblings, especially with my 4-month-old. To provide for my family, I work full-time as a patient referral coordinator.
We're definitely a family that lives paycheck to paycheck, and I often struggle to save enough for emergencies. Our house recently had some water leaks that went unnoticed for a little over a month. When I got our water bill, I was shocked at how high it was, and I talked to our landlord to make sure he got the leaks fixed. We've had some problems with him before, so I made sure to ask for the receipts when he got the repairs done to make sure all of the work that needed to be done was covered. However, he wouldn't give me the receipts and said he threw them away, which I find difficult to believe. So, then the leaks continued, and it took them longer to get them repaired again. Now my water bill is out of control, and I need help catching up on it because we have already received a disconnect notice.
I've requested an extension on this bill, but it's only going to prolong the inevitable, and we're going to lose our water service without help. So, I'm humbly asking for assistance with catching up on this water bill before our service is disconnected. We would be so grateful for this assistance, and I can't emphasize enough how much this help would do for my family moving forward. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read our story and to everyone who lends us a hand with this bill.
