After I Lost My Job, We Burned Through Our Savings & Are Facing Eviction Now! Please Help!
My Story:
I am a single mother of a 5-year-old boy. Truly, he is one of the smartest kids I've ever met. He loves the solar system, especially dwarf planets, and he's already doing multiplication and enjoying it! I have a master's degree in accounting, but I have a gap on my resume and have not been offered any of the jobs I've applied to since November. Until I can find a full-time job in my field, I've been working full-time hours delivering for Uber Eats.
I lost my full-time job in accounting this past November, and I've been struggling to keep up with all of our bills since then. Between doing deliveries and our savings, I have barely enough to cover all of our expenses from month to month. Unfortunately, I've burned through all of our savings, and I'm still looking for work. As a result, I'm having trouble covering our rent for this month and am worried that we're going to lose our home before I can find full-time work again.
I'm currently looking at a lot of different options outside of going back to work as an accountant, and those range form downsizing our home to getting my real estate license. Ultimately, I'm not sure what we'll wind up doing, but I know that at this rate we're going to be homeless before I'm able to find a solution. So I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our rent, as it will buy us some much-needed time and breathing room to figure out where to go from here. My son and I would be very grateful for this assistance, and I promise that I will do what I can to repay the kindness we're shown. Thank you.
