This person has left the following thank you note:
We would first like to thank each and every person who donated towards our hardship. We are so very grateful for your generous thoughts and sacrifices. We came to modest needs scared, hopeless and drowning financially. However, having good people rally around us here and lend a helping hand, will allow us to come up for air and finally breathe again. It has certainly help financially but it has also restored our faith. It has given us hope again. Your sacrifices will not soon be forgotten and we will forever strive to make the same kind of sacrifices, that you all made for us, for others. We are so extremely excited to be able to keep our home. We are so thankful that we do not have to uproot the the life of our child. So with tears of great joy in my eyes, again I say Thank you from very bottom of our hearts Thank you all!
My Family is Facing Homelessness While I Wait to Return to Work! Please Help Save Our Home!
My Story:
We are a happy family of three, and I am married to my wonderful wife, and together, we have one amazing son. I've been working at the same company for 19 years, but I have run into some health issues that have caused me to suddenly have to go on short-term disability leave. My wife has had health issues for years, and that has made it hard for her to work. Our son is a 12-year-old growing boy who loves video games and helping others.
My family is struggling because I typically work full-time but have recently run into health issues due to nearly 20 years of wear and tear at the same job. This has caused me to have to go on short-term disability to try to resolve it. While my wife loves to work, she has been sick for years and is unable to work, so we live strictly off my income and have exhausted all other options for supplementing that income. Additionally, we've been on an even tighter budget than normal due to the inflated cost of living that a lot of us have felt over the past year or so. While I'm out of work and collecting a smaller paycheck than normal, I know that we're going to struggle to cover the cost of our rent this month, so I'm humbly asking for assistance with that.
Right now, we're trying to work with our landlord and have let them know what the situation is, but the best they can give us is 30 days to make the payment or else we'll have to leave our home. Without help, we don't have any way to cover our rent for this month, so I'm sacred for the sake of my family. I'll be returning to work in the next few weeks, but I wouldn't collect a paycheck in time to cover the rent that we owe, so we'll be homeless before then. With that said, we would feel deeply blessed to receive this assistance with our rent, and I promise that we will find a way to repay the generosity and kindness that we're shown when we're able.
