User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeMy babies and I would like to say thank you from the very bottom of our hearts to all of the sweet people who donated and made keeping a roof over our heads, possible during these unprecented times. We will forever be eternally grateful to each and everyone of you, more than you will ever know. Thank you for being a blessing in our lives. I want to take a moment and let you know how much you are appreciated. You are a true angel to us, and we're more grateful to you than words can express. Few people possess the considerate, unselfish, loving heart that you have- and even fewer are willing to give so much of themselves. I thank you for your kindness and for being the wonderful, amazing person you are.

We're Facing Homelessness After I Spent Time in the Hospital! Please Help My Family Keep Our Home!

My Story:

I am a 25-year-old young single mother with two small children. My 4-year old-son is very energetic and full of life, and he loves being outdoors and loves his baby brother. My 2-year-old son is a very sweet, loving, outgoing, and full of life little boy. He adores me and looks up to his big brother a lot. Both boys love anything to do with being outdoors, and they especially love the zoo or anywhere they can play in the water. I work full-time from home for Medicare and Retirement, advocating and acting on behalf of our elders.

I earn enough to pay for our basic expenses every month, but we tend to live paycheck to paycheck. We had no savings set aside when I became really sick last week and had to go into the hospital unexpectedly. As a result, I missed quite a few days at work, which caused me to get behind on my bills. While I was out of work, I wasn't receiving my full paycheck, and so that has been difficult to deal with. However, beyond not collecting a full paycheck, when I was in the hospital, I had to pay someone to watch my children, as we don't have any family support to rely on. Between the cost of childcare and not collecting a full paycheck, I'm struggling to cover our rent for this month, and we're currently facing eviction.

When you're a single mother, every day can feel like a new battle, and this is especially true for me and my children, as we don't receive support from our family, the state, and we don't even receive child support from my children's father. I have always done everything that I could to fight for my children, and I've always done it on my own; however, I know that right now, my family needs assistance if we're going to keep from being homeless. With that said, this assistance would save my family from a complete financial disaster, and we would be eternally grateful for that. Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read my family's story, and may God Bless you all.
