We're On the Verge of Losing Our Electricity Due to Some Unexpected Expenses! Please Help.

My Story:

I am a single mother with one child. My 10-year-old son is a fifth grader this year, and he's loving school so far. He is very helpful around the house and is a very kind young man. We recently bought four very tiny fish that he named after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I love watching my son sit at his desk while he lays his head in his hands just starring at the tiny fish. I find myself doing the same sometimes, and it's very relaxing. It'll really make you forget about the stress of daily life, work, and bills. I work full time at a program that helps low income families pay for childcare. Ironically, my family doesn't qualify for those same resources, but with my income, we struggle to even live paycheck to paycheck.

My son and I are facing a lot of hardship right now because of some unexpected expenses. First, my car broke down, and I had to get it repaired so that I could get to work and get my son to school. Then, COVID got in the way of my son being able to go to school. He's been in and out of school for a few weeks now, and I have to cover the cost of childcare, or I have to miss shifts at work, both of which are extremely costly to us. As a result of these two hardships, I'm going to come up short on our electricity bill this month, and I'm really worried about having our power shut off at a time like this when we're already struggling to get by. With that said, I'm very humbly asking for assistance with our electric bill, and my son and I would be very grateful for the help. With this help, I will always be able to look at my son and point towards this act of generosity as a reason to always be kind and to always help others.
