This person has left the following thank you note:

User-submitted image - Click to see real sizeThis is a letter that I never thought I would be writing. Fifteen years ago, I was a stay at home mom, I was the one helping people. Fast forward to now....I am a single mom raising three amazing teenagers and showing them how to stand on your own when life doesn't go the way you planned. I have taught them that it's ok to lean on people as long as we figure out the way that we can give back. Amazing people like you came through financially to help my family through a blip in the road. I have told my children that even though we can't financially help others, that we need to find a way to help make someone's day. And that is exactly what you generous donors have done. You have made my day.... and I will get a good night's sleep knowing that my budget is back on track. From the bottom of my heart...thank you!

After Getting Our Vehicle Repaired, I Need Help Keeping Our Lights On!

My Story:

I'm a single mom with three amazing teenagers and a loveable yellow lab at home! I'm a kindergarten teacher, and I have a tremendous passion for education. Truly, I don't think there's anything more fulfilling than teaching children and getting glimpse of the world through their eyes. I also enjoy keeping up with the craziness of three high schoolers, gardening, cooking, walking and doing things with family and friends. My daughter is a senior in high school. She is an independent, strong willed young lady. She plays tennis, volunteers for Big Brothers Big Sisters, waitresses at a local pizza place, lifeguards, and shares her passion for photography by serving as editor of the school yearbook. My son is a junior in high school. He recently switched from football player to football manager due to an injury. He plays basketball as well. He spent the summer as a snow cone maker at the community pool. He has a soft spot for the little ones and always likes to entertain them. My youngest son runs track and cross country. He loves to make people happy and is a self-proclaimed mama's boy! My family means everything to me, and I'm a very proud mother.

I am the proud owner of a 2011 Buick Lucerne with 167k miles on it. It is affectionately known as the Silver Shark and is well maintained by a local mechanic, but this August, the Silver Shark needed some tender love and care. I had to put in a new interior door handle and a fuse block, and those two repairs took a chunk out of my monthly budget, especially since I needed the repairs right at the beginning of the school year.

As a result of covering these repair expenses, I need help covering our electric bill for this month. I really don't want to fall behind on this bill because it will be very difficult for me to catch up, and our utility company is also notoriously difficult to deal with when you're behind. With that said, I would feel very blessed to receive this help, and I would be very grateful for the assistance.
